Country Superstars, Alabama, are coming to Atlanta in May…don’t miss
I’ve seen Alabama twice in Savannah at the Civic Center. The first time was not too long after they hit it big, ’82 or ’83. My brother loved them too and bought an overpriced t-shirt that, yes, you could read a newspaper through.
The last time I saw the Fort Payne band was a Richard Petty Fan Appreciation Tour in November 1992 when The King was retiring from racing. Alabama was the headliner in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome and they put on a good show…no surprise, the gigs in Savannah were awesome years before. You could understand the words and the playing was tight and it all Felt So Right (alright, bad pun).
