Wonder why the movie trailers at the theatre are more graphic?

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) got kinda sneaky and have changed their standards.
Here’s an excerpt from the article on www.commonsensemedia.org:
” Now the green-band trailer language has been switched from “approved for all audiences” to the much vaguer “approved for appropriate audiences.” But there’s no indication of who the appropriate audience might be.”
